Dorel Nasui founded AIR in 1990 after working with Motorola for a number of years to pursue a distributor based relationship with the firm to grow sales and extend into European markets and the EMEA region and has since served as a President and CEO, building AIR into Motorola’s largest international two-way radio distributor.
Dorel founded AIR in his continuous efforts to make AIR a one-stop shop for all the customers. He launched SafeMobile as an independent company in 2008 which soon became the only worldwide Motorola Application Partner for MOTOTRBO. Dorel serves on the board of directors of Ageximco and RadioTel Romania. He serves as a Chairman of Safemobile and AIRWizard, the engineering arm of AIR.
Dorel Nasui holds a Ph.D. in System Engineering and a Master of Sciences in Computer Science, Polytechnic University, Bucharest, Romania. He has extensive expertise in the field of international trade, IT and radio communication.
Walker Van Dixhorn
Executive Vice President & General Manager @SafeMobile, LLC
Walker holds a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He joined AIR in 2019 as a Product Manager and became General Manager of SafeMobile in 2020.
Walker most recently worked for the global technology consulting firm Accenture as a Digital Business Architect, and also worked for Cisco Systems and General Electric prior to joining the AIR team.
Rolf Pein
Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Rolf holds a BS in Telecommunication Technologies from the University of Applied Sciences, Hamburg/Germany.
After having held various positions in the field of Maritime Communication in Hamburg and Rotterdam/Netherlands, Rolf worked for Motorola in Germany and Moscow with increasing responsibilities, finally as Director of Distribution Central Europe and as Managing Director for Motorola GmbH.
In 2003 Rolf joined American International Radio, Inc. as Executive Vice President of Distribution and resides on the Board of Directors for AIR.
Eugen Gheorghiu
Vice President of Engineering
Eugen began his tenure with AIR in 1993, when he joined as AIR’s Deputy Technical Manager in Romania at sister office Ageximco. Eugen was promoted to Operational Manager until 2002 when he transitioned into AIR’s Director of Engineering at AIR’s US headquarters.
Previously, he worked in RF design engineering at a radio-communication factory in Romania. He holds a BS in Electronics and Telecommunication from Electronics and Telecommunication Politehnica University in Bucharest, Romania and has an Executive MBA from International Executive Development Center (IEDC) Slovenia.
Catalina Tatu
Marketing Manager American International Radio, Inc.
Catalina holds a Master’s Degree in European Studies and Communication from Babes Bolyai University in Cluj Napoca, Romania. After having held various positions in the field of Romanian Print Media and Television, Catalina started a new carrier in Marketing when she joined AIR in 2011.
Since 2013, she has been given additional responsibilities and became the Marketing Manager of American International Radio, Inc. In her role she is supported by an experieenced team comprised by Ileana Marcu and Manuela Petric.
Maya Peshanova
General Manager Airadionet S.L., Spain
Maya joined AIR as Director of Sales for the Balkan region in 2002.By 2006 responsibilities expanded to cover channel business in North and Subsaharan Africa.
In her role, Maya is backed up by experienced team: Adel Achich, Hakim Zebouchi, Carolina Ojeda on the sales side; Romain Costantini and Omar Ouali on the tech support.
Umur Koser
President, AIR Middle East, Central Asia and Turkey
Umur holds a BS in Computer and Electronics Engineering from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, USA and an Executive MBA from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey.
Umur has over 35 years of experience in the field, having joined AIR Turkey in 2008 during its inception. Throughout his tenure in AIR, Umur has received additional responsibilities in terms of geography and solutions portfolio.
He is supported by a strong team lead by Koral Turkkan, Ersegun Kaya and Erdal Nohut, VP of Sales & Business Development, Finance & Operations and Engineering, respectively.
Mario Kirchner
Managing Director AIRadio Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG
Mario has over 30 years experience in the telecommunication field and has worked for more than 25 years in the PMR distribution. Mario has joined AIR in 2013 and is responsible for the channel and project business, project management, marketing & logistics and he is supported by a strong team lead by Sales Manager Markus Luecker and Project Manager Johann Materi.
Sergey Ospennikov
General Manager AIRadio Prague, s.r.o.
Having graduated from Kharkiv State University, Ukraine, in 1994, Sergej dedicated his career to sales and promotion of telecommunication technologies and products on Eastern European markets.
He joined AIRadio Prague team and moved to Czech Republic back in 1996 and has vast experience in international distribution of telecommunication products. He leads AIRadio Prague, s.r.o. team that is responsible for business in Eastern European markets
Yossi Levy
Director of Sales Systems Solutions Africa & Balkans
Yossi began his journey with AIR in 2013, when he joined as AIR’s Systems Sales Director. Previously, he worked for Motorola Solutions since 1989 with increasing responsibilities in the Export Division within the African and South East Europe markets, with particular emphasis on Systems for Governments.
He holds many years of experience and knowledge with a personal relationship and contacts with the African and SEE Communications & Government markets.
Ronny Preger
Director of Sales Systems Solutions Africa
Ronny Holds MBA of Business Management and Information Technology from the university of Tel Aviv, Ronny works for Motorola Solutions with increasing responsibilities including Sales, Marketing and Operations roles, finally as Director of Sales Systems Solutions for Sub-Sahara Africa.
In 2020 Ronny joined American International Radio, Inc as Director of Sales Systems Solutions.

Shayna joined AIR in the USA in 2010. She has over 25 years of experience in the Telecom industry within marketing, sales, project management, product management, and business development roles. By 2021, her responsibilities expanded to direct all channel business for North America.
