Full and secure email and data transfer
The Barrett 2020 HF data system provides internet email connectivity and fax services to and between remote sites located up to 2500 km from traditional telecommunications services using free to air HF radio as the transmission medium. The 2020 system is simple to install and easy to use.
To the end user, the HF system is transparent; emails are sent and received via the users own and familiar mail client software such as MS Outlook, Lotus Notes or any other common email program. For the system administrator, a variety of automatic linking options and a link scheduler all fully interoperable with MIL-STD 188 141B ALE and CCIR selective calling protocols are provided to achieve a comprehensive and automated HF email network solution.

Email traffic to any internet mail address worldwide
2020 Internet Gateway provides a seamless portal to and from the internet and HF network either via dial up connection or LAN mail server.
Fax traffic to any telephone number worldwide
2020 Fax Gateway supports fax traffic from the HF network to the Public Service Telephone Network (PSTN).
Simple and fast system set-up requiring minimal user training
Supports standard Mail Client user interface (SMTP/POP and LAN). Mail users can use their own and familiar mailing software (e.g. MS Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Mail, Pegasus Mail, Etc).
Digital selective calling interoperability
Can be integrated easily within 4 and 6 Digit Selcall Networks for combined HF voice and data communications between network stations.
Internal fit modem
A 2020 modem PCB is available to interally fit within a 2050 transceiver.
