Highest intrinsic safety class for DMR communication in explosive areas
The PD715IS DMR handheld radio from Hytera fulfills the European ATEX directives, FM standards and IEC standards. With an ignition protection class of "ia" - the highest ATEX intrinsic safety rating - the radio ensures reliable communication in hazardous explosive atmospheres of Zone 0. This means that the PD715IS can be used, for example, in oil and gas producing companies, in mining, in firefighting organizations and rescue services, at airports and in chemical plants.
Maximum safety
All radios used in potentially explosive environments must comply with the European Union's ATEX directives. The PD715IS fulfills the ATEX directives with the highest protection level of "ia":
Robust & reliable
The PD715IS handheld radio has been developed for use in tough working environments. Besides meeting the requirements of the European ATEX and IEC Directives, as well as the North-American FM standard, the radio is also compliant with the MIL-STD-810C/D/E/F/G standard and is dust and water-resistant to protection class IP67.
Upgradeable firmware
Having upgradeable firmware makes it possible to enhance the system with new features. Changing the firmware-software enables other digital and analog operating modes to be integrated without having to purchase a new radio.
Failsafe design and battery latch
The PD715IS is protected from misuse by its physical design. Using batteries or accessory components with an insufficient level of protection automatically triggers an alarm so that malfunctions of this type cannot occur.
Innovative plastic encapsulation
Both the radio itself and the battery are encapsulated in plastic. This prevents any liquid, dust or harmful gas from entering and coming into contact with the internal circuits.
Integrated GPS module as standard
With the aid of the integrated GPS module the PD715IS can send position information to dispatcher systems, for example. Dispatchers can evaluate this information and use functions such as geofencing, radio localization and GPS tracking.
