PD795IS ATEX DMR Portable Radio

Full-button DMR handheld radio with highest ATEX security class for safe communication

Thanks to its "ia" certification, the PD795IS ATEX handheld radio from Hytera ensures work safety in explosive areas which could contain explosive gases or combustible dust, for example. It fulfills the European ATEX directives, FM standards and IEC standards and guarantees reliable communication due to its outstanding robustness.

Features

Maximum safety
All radios used in potentially explosive environments must comply with the European Union's ATEX directives. The PD795IS fulfills the ATEX directives with the highest protection level of "ia":

  • ATEX Gas Protection: II 1 G Ex ia IIC T3
  • ATEX Dust Protection: II 1D Ex ia IIIC T160 °C IP5X
  • ATEX Protection for Mining Application: I M1 Ex ia

Robust and reliable
The PD795IS handheld radio has been developed for use in tough working environments. Besides meeting the requirements of the European ATEX and IEC Directives, as well as the North-American FM standard, the radio is also compliant with the MIL-STD-810C/D/E/F/G standard and is dust and water-resistant to protection class IP67.

Upgradeable firmware
Having upgradeable firmware makes it possible to enhance the system with new features. Changing the firmware-software enables other digital and analog operating modes to be integrated without having to purchase a new radio.

Failsafe design and battery latch
The PD795IS is protected from misuse by its physical design. Using batteries or accessory components with an insufficient level of protection automatically triggers an alarm. The patented latch on the battery ensures that the battery cannot fall out should the radio be dropped.

Innovative plastic encapsulation
Both the radio itself and the battery are encapsulated in plastic. This prevents any liquid, dust or harmful gas from entering and coming into contact with the internal circuits.

Integrated GPS as standard
With the aid of the integrated GPS module the PD795IS can send position information to dispatcher systems, for example. Dispatchers can evaluate this information and use functions such as geofencing, radio localization and GPS tracking.

High-strength LCD protective cover
The high-strength LCD protective cover is extremely scratch-resistant and would even withstand being struck by a 1-kg hammer.
